Demonstrations of Orbo

Steorn has released demonstrations of Orbo on their YouTube channel here.  This has sparked some debate on what it is that we are seeing on their live channels.

Some of the features that have already been discussed are the following:

  • The technology is based on the interaction of magnetic fields.
  • Replication of the technology can be difficult, but not impossible - comparable to early development of the hard drive.
  • Coefficient of Performance is greater than 1.
  • Output energy is scalable, since the input current and voltage do not change, power output is a function of speed.  Theoretically this means there is no limit, but there are real world limits.  The reason for this is because torque has been decoupled from the input energy.
Over the next week or so possibly into the end of Feburary, there will be a few more live and recorded demonstrations to address concerns of those that are interested in the technology.
